Breaking the internet on a Saturday, Malayalam cinema's absolute powerhouse, Mohanlal, officially put an end to months of fan speculation by revealing the title of his highly anticipated 367th film. Previously blanketed under the tentative working title L367, the massive project has officially been named Operation Ganga.

Taking to his social media handles, the veteran actor shared a striking, heavy-duty first-look poster of the biographical action drama, setting a grand, highly patriotic tone for what is being billed as one of the most ambitious projects of his career.

The Real Story Behind the Grand Poster

The film draws direct inspiration from India's real-life, high-stakes 2022 evacuation mission that successfully brought home over 23,000 Indian citizens, primarily medical students who were trapped amidst the sudden outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war.

True to its dramatic premise, the first-look poster prominently showcases a giant female warrior statue holding a sword and shield, rising above a cityscape blanketed by heavy, ominous clouds. Side-by-side with a roaring military fighter jet, the title stands out boldly with a powerful tagline: "A NATION'S PROMISE".

Directed by, National Award-winning filmmaker, Vishnu Mohan, who took home the gold for his brilliant directorial debut , "Meppadiyan", Operation Ganga marks his first dream collaboration with Mohanlal.

The director spent months meeting survivors and mapping out the logistics to ensure the script stays true to the real emotional weight of the crisis.
